Stepping Stones Preschool
The skills needed for school and life are learned well before the age of six. With an impeccable facility that supports a variety of learning opportunities, including licensed teachers and supportive staff, the Stepping Stones Preschool at Pearson Early Learning Center is a truly rewarding program for young learners of all abilities.
Kindergarten Roundup
Each of Shakopee's five (5) elementary schools will host a 'Kindergarten Roundup' in April 2026. These fun-filled Saber events allow families and children to tour an elementary school, meet teachers, engage with specialists, take a bus ride, grab a snack in the lunch line and much more!

Starting in the 2026–27 school year (Fall 2026), Shakopee Community Education will fully manage operations of the K–5 School-Age Care Program currently provided by the YMCA and will also manage before/mid/after care services offered at Pearson Early Learning Center for families enrolled in Stepping Stones Preschool.
